Corinthians reach agreement, Nicole’s new deal with club almost done

Corinthians is very close to officially renewing the contract of goalkeeper Nicole Ramos, the starter during the campaign that led the club to the sixth championship of the Conmebol Libertadores Feminina. The player's current contract with Timão is valid until December 2025.

According to information from the portal Meu Timão, only the signature is missing for the goalkeeper's stay at Parque São Jorge to be confirmed. Nicole expressed enthusiasm with the project presented by the management and says she is satisfied with the moment she is living as the starter in the alvinegra goal.

“I am very happy. As I said, I work a lot. Maybe last year, we arrived with a very big responsibility, it was heavier. But I think from now on, I can build my story, put my name here too. This calms me a bit, makes me more relaxed to do my job. I am happy to perform well,” declared Nicole after winning the Women's Brazilian Championship.

The goalkeeper was one of the great names of the team in winning the 2025 Libertadores, being decisive in the semifinal against Ferroviária, when she saved a penalty that secured Corinthians in the decision against Deportivo Cali, from Colombia. In the final, again decided by penalties, Timão was crowned champion once more.

Nicole joined the club in 2024, amid the competition for the position with Lelê, Kemelli, and Mary Camilo. A serious injury to the then number 12 opened the space for her to take over the starting position, consolidating herself in the role over the last two seasons.

During the Libertadores, however, Nicole suffered a complete rupture of the central band of the extensors of the fifth finger and had to undergo surgery, which may keep her off the field in the final stretch of 2025. Kemelli and Lelê are expected to be the main options for the Corinthians goal in the last games of the Paulista Championship.

Since joining Timão, Nicole has played 48 matches, with 31 wins, 12 draws, and only five losses, in addition to winning four titles: two Libertadores (2024 and 2025) and two Brazilian Championships (2024 and 2025).

Besides the goalkeeper, the club has also arranged the renewal of coach Lucas Piccinato, who is expected to stay for another three seasons. The management continues to work on defining new contracts with Mariza, Gabi Zanotti, Tamires, Gi Fernandes, Erika, Lelê, Kemelli, Paulinha, and Letícia Santos, players whose contracts are nearing their end. Meanwhile, forward Eudimilla is not expected to stay at the club and is likely headed to Santos, according to information from Meu Timão.
