Corinthians ready for Fortaleza clash, midfielder eyes Brasileirão

Corinthians wrapped up on Tuesday (2) their preparations for their penultimate fixture of the season. Timão will face Fortaleza this Wednesday (3), in a match scheduled for 7 p.m. (Brasília time), at Arena Castelão, valid for the 37th round of the Brazilian Championship, the team’s last away game in the tournament.

The activities at CT Joaquim Grava, led by coach Dorival Júnior, included strength training, warm-up, and a specific tactical exercise for the clash against the team from Ceará. Players who played more than 45 minutes in the last match, against Botafogo over the weekend, did recovery work, while the others remained on the field for another tactical session.

The People’s Team currently sits in ninth place in the standings, with 46 points from 12 wins, ten draws, and 14 losses in the Brasileirão. Right after the end of training, Corinthians TV interviewed midfielder Breno Bidon, who highlighted the preparation for the match and reinforced the need for the squad to give their all on the field.

“The expectation is always very good. We prepared very well for tomorrow’s game. God willing, we’ll bring the three points home. Their team (Fortaleza) is very good, but it will be a great match. Corinthians, as always, will have to go in very focused and with a lot of determination. I’m sure that if we go out there with all of that, we have a great chance of coming away with the win.”
