Corinthians registered head coach Emily Lima in the CBF BID on Wednesday afternoon, clearing her to lead the Brabas from the touchline.

She was unveiled on Tuesday 24 February and replaces Lucas Piccinato, who was dismissed after the 2-2 draw with Fluminense at Neo Química Arena, according to Meu Timao.

Lima has signed a two-season deal and joins at no cost, having left Levante in October. She reported last week to finalise paperwork and begin work with the squad.

Ogol reports that her spell in Spain brought 10 defeats and one draw in 11 matches. Before Europe, she worked at Juventus, São Caetano and Santos, and was part of the Brazil, Ecuador and Peru national-team set-ups.

Corinthians now have an extended build-up to their next game, against Palmeiras on 13 March at 21:30 at Arena Barueri in the third round of the Brasileiro Feminino. At present, 10 players are away on international duty during the FIFA window.
