Corinthians reject 10 million euros bid from Besiktas for Hugo Souza | OneFootball

Corinthians have rejected a 10 million euros bid from Besiktas of Türkiye for goalkeeper Hugo Souza, worth about R$ 61.6 million.

OTB Sports, which represents the player, said in a statement it forwarded the offer to the club on four February and that it was the second approach the board had turned down in recent weeks. The agency added that Souza does not intend to leave now and that any transfer would only be discussed after the World Cup, with his focus on winning more trophies, possibly a sixth World Cup with Brazil.

Corinthians also declined an offer from Milan in December.

Souza is under contract with the São Paulo club until 31 December 2029.

Corinthians hold 60 per cent of his economic rights and his release clause for foreign clubs is 100 million euros, around R$ 652 million.
