Corinthians have rejected Milan’s offer for midfielder André Luiz, which could have reached 17 million euros, judging the package below their valuation.

R7 first reported the rejected approach. President Osmar Stabile said no agreement was ever signed and denied that the player had been sold.

The offer was 15 million euros guaranteed plus 2 million in add-ons, for 70% of his economic rights held by Corinthians, with André to forgo his remaining percentage. The club believe a future sale could yield more.

No electronic signatures from Stabile or legal director Pedro Soares were issued, which prevented the deal’s conclusion. On that basis, the terms presented will not be completed, though Corinthians remain open to superior proposals.

The approach came in the week of the 1-1 draw against Cruzeiro on 25 February at Mineirão, in round four of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The board had already rejected it and informed coach Dorival Júnior of André’s immediate stay. Details only became public last Saturday, prompting some supporter criticism and comments from the coach.

Dorival cautioned against sudden hype, saying André was returning from a serious injury and had been prepared for nearly three months before his introduction. He argued the midfielder should stay to mature, develop and deliver a technical return to Corinthians.

André debuted for the senior side in September 2025, a 1-0 win over Fluminense under Dorival, and has 24 appearances, 10 starts and four goals. He is now preparing for Coritiba on 11 March at Neo Química Arena, the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
