Corinthians release re-signed youth player, exit deal pending

Corinthians has released forward Justin Tyler Remedi, 19, who was signed earlier this year during the administration of the ousted president Augusto Melo (January 2024 to May 2025), during which Claudinei Alves was the general director of the youth department. In a year and a half, there were 87 signings for the department considering only the Under-17 and 20 categories.

Since Osmar Stabile took over the presidency of Corinthians – considering the period as interim – there have been 49 departures in the youth department – 34 only in the Under-17 and 20 categories – recorded in the CBF's Daily Information Bulletin (BID). With Carlos Alberto Aurrichio, known as Nenê do Posto, as Claudinei Alves' replacement, the club has been prioritizing reducing the department's payroll.

According to information published by Meu Timão and confirmed by the Central do Timão, Corinthians activated the unilateral termination clause with Justin Tyler and agreed to pay all the athlete's wages until the end of his contract – which would be valid until December 2025.

However, the termination has not yet been made official in the BID since the American, who had already had a stint in Corinthians' youth department in 2022 – during the management of former president Duílio Monteiro Alves (2021-2023) -, was not present to sign the contract termination.

The 19-year-old player, according to Meu Timão, has not indicated whether he will attend to sign the contract termination. In light of this, Corinthians has already forwarded the case to its legal department. It is possible, as a last resort, to facilitate the termination through the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) system.

Meu Timão tried to contact the player to understand his version, but received no response. Additionally, the current youth department management of the club commented to the report that they will wait for the player and, if necessary, will take the situation to the São Paulo Federation.

In almost ten months during his second stint in Corinthians' youth department, the American trained with the main Under-20 team but ended up playing some friendlies for the Under-20 B team.
