Corinthians’ finances worsened in March, with an accumulated deficit of R$ 131.1 million, up 40% on February and nearly triple the R$ 36.4 million budgeted. The club said in a statement that the figures came from its March balance.

It attributed the shortfall to R$ 32.5 million in Copa do Brasil bonuses, R$ 6.1 million in taxes on settling the Santos Laguna debt for Félix Torres, and R$ 75 million in unrealised player-rights sales. Excluding these, it calculated a first-quarter deficit of R$ 17.5 million.

Since January the club rejected several bids. January approaches from Lazio and Fenerbahçe for Yuri Alberto were deemed insufficient. In February, Besiktas tabled an offer for goalkeeper Hugo Souza. In late March, Milan offered €18 million for 70% of midfielder André’s rights.

Net operating revenue reached R$ 197.6 million in the first quarter of 2026, driven by sponsorship and advertising at R$ 92.5 million and broadcast rights at R$ 39.9 million.

Expenses totalled R$ 202.1 million, with personnel at R$ 149.2 million, sports materials and services R$ 32.6 million, and general and administrative costs R$ 13.3 million.

There was a negative R$ 4.5 million balance on transfer and loan activity, and R$ 62.7 million in financial expenses on interest and financing.

The club expects to raise €25 million net mid-year, about R$ 144.7 million, twice the budget, which could prompt a budget review. The balance omitted total debt, last disclosed at R$ 2.723 billion in December 2025 including Neo Química Arena.
