Corinthians returned to work on Friday at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava as they prepare to face Flamengo at the Maracanã on Sunday at 17:30 in the Brasileirão.

According to Meu Timao, the squad was split in two. Players who logged more than 45 minutes in Wednesday’s Libertadores draw with Estudiantes did indoor recovery, while the rest worked in the gym, then Fernando Diniz led a 10 v 10 tactical session after a warm-up on the pitch.

Corinthians are aiming to halt their league losing run, having been beaten by Cruzeiro 2-1, Coritiba 2-1, Santos 1-0 and Chapecoense 2-1.

They sit 12th on 32 points, only four clear of Mirassol. They are 10 behind Cruzeiro, who occupy sixth.

They have another session on Saturday morning as they prepare to face the league leaders, Flamengo, who have 54 points.

In the most recent meeting between the sides outside São Paulo, Corinthians won the Supercopa Rei de 2026 in February at Estádio Mané Garrincha, with goals from Gabriel Paulista and Yuri Alberto.
