Corinthians resumed training on Sunday morning at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava after a day off, stepping up preparations to face Coritiba on Wednesday at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
According to Meu Timao, the squad began with gym activation then a pitch warm-up, followed by small-sided work, attacking drills with finishing, and a tactical exercise to close.
Jesse Lingard trained with the group, as did midfielders Matheus Pereira, Raniele and Allan. Lingard has been regaining match sharpness after his last outing in December, while Matheus Pereira is nearing the end of recovery from a biceps femoris injury.
Raniele and Allan had recently been managed due to physical fatigue, with Raniele receiving injections for pain in his left ankle.
Despite training and being unveiled with the number 77 shirt, Lingard’s involvement against Coritiba remains uncertain. He is yet to be registered on the CBF’s BID and must be entered by Tuesday to be eligible.
Dorival Júnior should have forwards Yuri Alberto and Kaio César back, both fit and training fully. Corinthians have two more days to prepare and sit third in the Brasileirão with seven points from four matches.
