Corinthians were back at CT Joaquim Grava on Friday after a 3-0 defeat to Red Bull Bragantino, starting preparations for Sunday’s clássico with São Paulo.

According to Meu Timao, the squad opened with strength work in the gym. Those who played more than 45 minutes at Cícero de Souza Marques in Bragança Paulista completed indoor recovery. The rest worked on attack against defence and a small-sided game on the pitch.

The coaching staff have a new option. On Friday, midfielder Matheus Pereira, 27, was confirmed on loan from Fortaleza until the end of 2026. He is already registered for the Paulistão and is available to Dorival Júnior for the remainder of the tournament.

The coach still faces likely absentees, Memphis Depay, muscle rebalancing, Rodrigo Garro, left wrist surgery, and José Martínez, Venezuelan passport reissue. Raniele has trained with the group but was not listed in Bragança Paulista and remains a doubt.

The team will hold their final session on Saturday morning. After beating Ponte Preta in their opener, Corinthians remain on three points in the Paulistão, sitting eighth. The derby is scheduled for Sunday 18 at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena.
