Corinthians have begun cleaning the Neo Química Arena facade. Work started in early July and images released eight days later show clear progress on the West Stand.

The club said the facelift forms part of a wider refurbishment of the Casa do Povo, with the facade targeted for completion by September.

In this first phase, nine workers are washing the glass on the West Stand roof, with other strategic areas to follow. Before launch, the stadium administration hired a specialist firm, ran a supplier call, reviewed budgets and secured SESMT safety and technical approvals.

Separately, a full pitch replacement began this month, starting after Brazil Women beat the United States in a friendly at the stadium.

The project continues work begun in mid 2025 during the Club World Cup pause, when only new synthetic fibres were stitched. Further intervention followed in September, funded by the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs v Los Angeles Chargers regular-season game.

The full replacement had been planned for late 2025 into early 2026, but a short gap between seasons shifted it to June and July this year. The work is being executed by World Sports.

The club are also assessing further upgrades, including maintenance of scoreboards and internal and external LED panels, and replacing worn equipment.

Corinthians return to Itaquera on 23 July to host Remo at 19:30 in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, their first match after the World Cup pause.
