Corinthians right-back celebrates starting spot in win over Realidade Jovem

In Corinthians' 3-0 victory over Realidade Jovem this Sunday (16) in the Paulista Women's Championship, one of the new faces in the starting lineup was right-back Letícia Santos, who took advantage of the match to record her second assist for the Brabas. In material originally sent to the Meu Timão portal, the player celebrated the team's performance in the match that closed the first phase of the state championship.

“It was a very good performance, especially because we were in the middle of an intense sequence of games, and even so, we managed to stay resilient to face everything. In fact, I think that's what we'll take into this decisive phase: this mentality of knowing how to handle tough games and important moments.”

She also celebrated her own performance in the match. “When I step on the field, I always try to deliver my best performance to help the team, and being able to come in and contribute with an assist is very good. I’m very happy to have had playing time; this is important to gain more match rhythm and confidence for this decisive phase of the Paulistão,” she said.

Letícia Santos, who arrived at Parque São Jorge in 2024, has not managed to secure her position – this year, for example, she has only played nine times. Her contract ends at the end of the season and her stay at Corinthians is still uncertain, with other teams showing interest in her football.
