Corinthians set 28 November elections, with five December fallback if they reach final | OneFootball

Corinthians have scheduled a general assembly for 28 November 2026 to elect club leadership and triennial councillors for the 2027 to 2029 term.

According to Globo.com, the date coincides with the Conmebol Libertadores final in Montevideo, Uruguay, and if Corinthians reach it the vote will take place on Saturday five December instead.

The ballot will appoint the president and two vice-presidents, along with 200 councillors and 50 alternates for the Deliberative Council.

Eligible voters are members aged over 18 who joined at least five years ago, excluding militantes and dependents of any category, and must be up to date with fees by 28 September. Facial identification registration will be required.

As a proposed statute reform was not put to a general assembly, there is no provision for sócio-torcedor voting.

Lifetime councillors Ademir de Carvalho Benedito, Alexandre Husni and Guilherme Gonçalves Strenger have twice obtained court orders preventing an assembly on statute changes.

The electoral process begins under the risk of judicial intervention at the club, with the Public Prosecutor's Office conducting a civil investigation that could, subject to its request and a court decision, occur before the vote.
