Corinthians set for Copinha, NBB and Paulistão kick-off this week

The year 2026 has begun and, gradually, all Corinthians teams are returning to official commitments. This week, Timão will have matches in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, Paulistão, and a series of challenges in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

After their debut win against Trindade-GO, Timãozinho returns to the field this Tuesday (6th) to face Luverdense at Estádio Zezinho Magalhães. The match kicks off at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), and a victory could secure Corinthians’ qualification for the next stage.

The basketball team returns from a break for the end-of-year festivities. The team led by Jece Leite faces Minas, an opponent currently in third place in the overall standings. The tip-off is at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, on the 8th, Thursday, starting at 8 PM.

The first phase of the Copinha ends on Friday (9th), with the match between Corinthians and the home club, XV de Jaú. The match takes place at the same stadium as the previous two games, starting at 6:15 PM. The expectation is that this duel will decide the group leader for the knockout stage.

On Saturday (10th), another NBB game. Corinthians hosts Cruzeiro for the second round of the return leg of the competition, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, starting at 4 PM. In the first round, Timão won in Minas Gerais.

The professional men’s football team debuts on Sunday (11th). After a week of pre-season, Dorival Júnior’s squad faces Ponte Preta in the first round of the Campeonato Paulista, the Paulistão. The match will be played at Neo Química Arena, starting at 4 PM.
