Corinthians have stepped up transfer work after their transfer bans ended, prioritising a right back, a midfielder and two forwards, preferably wide players, for Dorival Júnior.
UOL reports that Corinthians have signalled interest in Allan at Flamengo, while São Paulo have also spoken to the player’s camp, though no agreement has been reached with the Rio club.
The aim is to deepen options and avoid the shortages that forced improvisation last season. Midfielders Charles and José Martínez, plus centre-backs Félix Torres and Cacá, were used on the right of defence.
A specialist right back is sought, with Matheuzinho the current starter and academy product João Vitor Jacaré in the group. Dorival Júnior also wants more pace out wide, with only Vitinho fitting that profile since his arrival in August 2025.
Talks to bolster the squad are advanced. Gabriel Paulista, 35, formerly of Besiktas in Türkiye, is awaiting medical tests before an official announcement. Midfielder Matheus Pereira of Fortaleza is expected to arrive at Parque São Jorge on loan until the end of 2026.
On the pitch, Corinthians visit Red Bull Bragantino at 19:30 on Thursday 15 at Estádio Municipal de Bragança Paulista, in the second round of the Campeonato Paulista.
