Corinthians sharpen defensive shape with Ferroviária visit looming | OneFootball

Corinthians intensified work on defensive organisation and set pieces ahead of facing Ferroviária on 17 July in the Paulistão Feminino.

According to Meu Timao, Emily Lima’s squad started in the gym, then warmed up on the pitch under the fitness staff before the head coach led drills focused on the back line and dead-ball situations.

Goalkeeper Lelê remains in treatment after being diagnosed with tendinopathy in the rear of her right thigh, though she has begun rehabilitation with the medical department.

Centre-back Agustina Barroso is also sidelined. Diagnosed at the start of the season with a recurrent contracture linked to a scar in the soleus muscle of her left calf, she remains away from group activities.

Their next fixture is at Parque São Jorge at 19:00, the competition’s fourth round. The sides then meet again in the Copa do Brasil Feminino last 16 at Fonte Luminosa in Araraquara on Monday 20 July at 20:00, following a CBF scheduling change.
