Corinthians step up preparations for the Derby in the Brasileirão Feminino

Amid the FIFA break, the Corinthians women's squad continued, on the morning of this Wednesday (4), their preparations to face Palmeiras at Arena Barueri, next Friday, the 13th, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), for the third round of the first phase of the Brazilian Women's Championship. Currently, the Brabas have four points, with one win and one draw.

During just over an hour of training, coach Emily Lima led an intense session focused on the team's offensive transitions. In addition, there was also time to work on set-piece plays. The training also featured the presence of right-back Gi Fernandes, who was cut from the Brazilian National Team call-up due to a muscle strain in her left thigh – video published by the club on social media at the end of the article.

Currently, the following players are not participating in training: goalkeeper Lelê, defender Thais Ferreira, left-back Tamires, midfielders Ana Vitória and Duda Sampaio, attacking midfielder Gabi Zanotti, and forward Jaqueline, all with the Brazilian National Team, as well as defensive midfielder Dayana Rodríguez (Venezuela) and forwards Belén Aquino (Uruguay) and Gisela Robledo (Colombia).

Also in the medical department: defenders Agustina (rehabilitating a muscle injury in her left leg) and Thais Regina (recovering from surgery on her left fibula).
