It will be their 22nd game in the country against Colombian clubs. As visitors they have eight wins, nine draws and four defeats, with half of those fixtures friendlies. At El Campín they have played four times and remain unbeaten.

In Bogotá against Santa Fe, Corinthians have four meetings, two wins and two draws. The latest finished 1-1 in the 2016 Libertadores.

The first such game was a 1-0 friendly loss to Millonarios on 28 February 1954. Their most painful defeat there came with a 2-0 loss to Tolima in the 2011 preliminary phase, which knocked them out. The last meeting with Santa Fe finished 1-1 in the 2016 Libertadores, and the most recent visit to Colombia ended 1-1 with América de Cali in the 2025 Sudamericana, Matheuzinho scoring.

Corinthians top Group E with a perfect start, three wins from three for nine points. Platense have six, while Peñarol and Santa Fe are on one.
