Corinthians arrived on Saturday for Sunday's Clássico Alvinegro at Vila Belmiro, kick-off 16:00, in the sixth round of the Brasileiro, with Kaio César and Matheus Pereira returning to the squad.
The squad completed preparations at CT Joaquim Grava in the morning before heading to the coast. According to Meu Timao, around 16:00 a 25-man group checked into the team hotel.
Kaio César is back after a right hamstring injury sustained in early February when he started against Capivariano in the Paulistão. Matheus Pereira is also available after a grade two biceps femoris issue in his left thigh suffered against Athletico Paranaense in February.
Striker Yuri Alberto has said he should only return next week as he continues recovery from a grade two injury in his left biceps femoris, and he could be an option against Chapecoense on Thursday. Midfielder Labyad and centre-back João Pedro Tchoca, who featured against Coritiba, were not with the group.
Two others remain sidelined, Felipe Longo with a sprain to the ligament in his right elbow, and Hugo Farias after surgery on the lateral meniscus of his right knee.
Dorival Júnior's side are seeking to end a run of four matches without a win, extended by Wednesday's 2-0 home defeat to Coritiba. That sequence also includes 1-1 draws with Cruzeiro and Portuguesa, plus a 1-0 loss to Novorizontino that brought elimination in the Paulistão semi-finals.
Corinthians are 10th in the Brasileiro with seven points, while Santos are 14th with five. The travelling party features options across the squad, including Memphis Depay and Pedro Raul.
