Corinthians mocked Palmeiras on social media after a 1-0 win at Allianz Parque in the Copa do Brasil Feminina, sealed late by Gabi Zanotti. The result sent the Brabas through and eliminated their rivals on home turf. Palmeiras were defending the title.

According to Meu Timao, the club posted two pieces of content referencing the scoreline. The first used a classic meme, with a giant figure bearing the Corinthians crest looming over a smaller character with Palmeiras’ badge, joking that the rivals looked bigger in photos.

Between 2020 and 2026, it was Corinthians’ third victory in six games at Palmeiras’ main stadium. Their only loss there in that span came in June 2022 in the Brasileirão.

The second post showed a pitchside photo of the stadium big screen carrying the message, "Bom retorno e até a próxima".

Corinthians now wait to learn their round of 16 opponents. Also through are Atlético-MG, Atlético-PI, Bahia, Botafogo, Coritiba, Cruzeiro, Ferroviária, Flamengo, Fluminense, Instituto 3B, Internacional, Itabirito, Red Bull Bragantino and Vasco. The last berth will be decided by Mauaense v São Paulo in July.

The derby win came hours after the board settled delayed image-rights payments with the squad. It was the Brabas’ final official outing before a World Cup pause, with a return pencilled in for 17 July against Ferroviária in the Paulistão. Two friendlies against the United States Under-23s are set for 5 and 9 June.
