Corinthians test new Neo Química Arena pitch with finishing drills, South Stand seats removed | OneFootball

Corinthians trained at Neo Química Arena on Monday morning to test the new pitch. The session featured finishing work and attack against defence in a half-pitch set-up.

According to Globo.com, media viewed roughly 40 minutes of the workout led by head coach Fernando Diniz.

Absentees were left-back Hugo and forward Vitinho, both in physical transition, plus Memphis Depay, who is still negotiating a contract extension with the club.

Corinthians next play Remo at home in the Campeonato Brasileiro on Thursday at 19:30 Brasília time. Diniz’s side are 12th on 24 points, six off the G-4 and four above the relegation zone.

The Remo fixture will be the first at Neo Química Arena without seats in the South Stand. Capacity will remain 7,406, mirroring the North Stand change made in 2014 to give organised fans more freedom.
