Corinthians have confirmed that 18-year-old midfielder Gui Amorim has signed a new contract running to December 2028, with an option for a further two seasons to 2030.
The club have also raised his release clauses. For domestic transfers the figure rises from R$ 80 million to R$ 140 million, while for overseas clubs it is set at 100 million euros.
Talks were handled by the professional football department led by executive Marcelo Paz, rather than the academy staff. Internally, the deal is viewed as a clear long-term project for Amorim, who is being readied for a future permanent integration into Fernando Diniz’s first-team squad.
In 2026, his first Under-20 campaign, he has played 13 matches with three goals and three assists. The totals might be higher, but an April grade 2 trauma to the medial collateral ligament of his right knee sidelined him for more than a month.
Last season he was a standout for the Under-17s, scoring 20 goals and providing 15 assists in 43 outings, form that drew international interest, including from teams linked to Grupo City.
Although still registered in the academy, Amorim has trained with the seniors at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava and has been named in matchday squads, but he has yet to debut. He also joined celebrations for the Supercopa Rei title at Mané Garrincha.
