Corinthians resumed training on Tuesday morning after a Carnival day off. According to Globo.com, Breno Bidon left the medical department at CT Joaquim Grava and began on-field transition with the fitness coaches.

The transition phase is the final step before reintegration and ball work. Despite the progress, the midfielder remains unavailable and will miss Thursday’s trip to Athletico-PR in Curitiba, scheduled for 19:30 Brasília time in the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Head coach Dorival Júnior worked with the full group only in the opening segment. After a possession drill with immediate pressure after loss, players who featured for 45 minutes or more in Sunday’s game against São Bernardo left to complete recovery work.

Those who stayed on the pitch undertook an attack-versus-defence exercise on a reduced field. The coaching staff will finalise the line-up for Athletico-PR in Wednesday’s session.

Having qualified for the Paulistão knockouts, Corinthians now turn their focus to the league. The Athletico-PR fixture should have been played two weeks ago, but the club could not take the field due to a congested schedule across three competitions.
