Corinthians trio Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho and Breno Bidon have completed their first Brazil training sessions in Brisbane as preparations ramp up for the Super Data Fifa friendlies.

According to Meu Timao, the players missed Monday’s session due to travel, then trained on Tuesday and Wednesday on a pitch adjacent to Ballymore Stadium, Brazil’s base for this camp.

Brazil will finish preparations on Thursday morning at Ballymore Stadium, then fly to Townsville for the opening friendly against Australia on Friday at 7h Brasília time at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The sides meet again on Tuesday, 29, at 7h at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. After that, Ancelotti’s team will travel to India for the first time to face the hosts on 3 October at 11h at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

This call-up brings senior debuts for Matheuzinho and Bidon. Goalkeeper Hugo has now been selected for the sixth time under Carlo Ancelotti, missing only the World Cup list since the Italian took charge.

It is also the first time since 2015 that Corinthians have had at least three players in a single Brazil squad, when Dunga named Cássio, Gil, Elias and Renato Augusto during 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Through Fifa’s Club Benefits Programme, the club stand to receive about R$12,000 per player per match during international windows, meaning up to R$108,000 across the three scheduled friendlies.
