Corinthians U17 keeper and striker celebrate Paulista win over Ferroviária

On the morning of last Saturday, September 6, Corinthians defeated Ferroviária, away from home, at Taquarão Stadium, by a score of 1 x 0. The match was valid for the third round of the group stage of the third stage of the Paulista Under-17 Championship. The result left the Alvinegro in second place in group 29 with six points.

After the match, the author of Timãozinho's goal in the match, Augusto Baima, gave an interview to Corinthians' social networks and commented on the importance of the victory: "Very difficult match here. These three points away from home are very important, we had two consecutive losses, but now we manage to return to winning and it was very important to score away from home for our continuation in the competition".

Next, goalkeeper Rafael Juwer, who defended a penalty kick during the match, analyzed the confrontation and commented on the penalty kick for the opponent. "The penalty was a joy, we train during the week, but it's a collective work. The importance of both the defense and the goals, the team's performance as a whole, very important", he said.

He continued: "Man, I'm very happy with this match, the whole group is to be congratulated. We managed to perform very well, even away from home. The team played as the coach trained during the week and for the rest of the championship this victory gives a tranquility. We can go, now, to the away games, São Paulo, away, Ferroviária, again, with more tranquility and even better."

Now, Timãozinho returns to the fields only next Saturday, September 13, at 11 am (Brasília time), to face the same opponent. The duel will take place at Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha, and will be valid for the fourth round of the group stage of the state category.
