Corinthians under-15 and under-17 win first leg of Paulista quarter-finals

On the morning of this Saturday, October 4th, Corinthians faced Red Bull Bragantino in Atibaia for the first leg of the São Paulo U-17 Championship round of 16 and won by 2-0. With this result, the Alvinegro can lose by up to one goal difference in the second game and still advance to the state quarterfinals.

The Alvinegro's goals were scored by forward Kawê Klayver, twice, in the second half. The winger now has six goals in 31 games in 2025. The return match between Corinthians and RB Bragantino will take place next Saturday, October 11th, at 11 am (Brasília time), at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha.

To start the match, coach Raphael Laruccia lined up the following team: Gustavo Milani; Kaio Vinícius, Iago Machado, Cauã Ribeiro, and Lucca Vaz; Pedro Thomas, Heitor, and Guilherme Amorim; Kawê Klayver and Augusto Baima. The bench had the following options: Pietro, Cauã Souza, Nathan, Caio Lisboa, Rafael Guarnieri, Victor Calderan, Dante, Léo Amistá, and Kayke Dallaqua, the Tupã.

In the first goal, the forward received a deep pass and just chipped it over the goalkeeper João Madeira of Red Bull Bragantino. The second goal came after a telegraphed overhead pass from midfielder Guilherme Amorim. Klayver just pushed it into the net.

U-15

Shortly before, the U-15 team took the field at José Liberatti Stadium in Osasco for the first leg of the São Paulo U-15 Championship round of 16 against Audax and won 2-0. The Alvinegro's goals were scored by Felipe Enzo and Léo Saraiva. Even if they lose by one goal difference in the return match, Timãozinho advances to the state quarterfinals.

To start this Saturday's match, coach Valdeir Silva, replacing Edu Vergueiro who is with the Brazilian national team of the category, lined up the following team: Matheus; Medina, Caio Manuel, Arthur Couto, and Rafael Luiz; Léo Saraiva, Kaio Wisley, and Igor Macedo; Pedro Morelli, Felipe Enzo, and Miguel Moscardo.

The bench had the following options: Abnner, Vitor Nagashima, Rafael Gusukuma, Juan Carlos, Splichal, Kerrison, Rhyan Ladeira, Luan Banhado, and Thiago Coelho. Like the U-17, the return match is scheduled for exactly seven days from now, at 9 am (Brasília time), at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha.
