Corinthians Under-15 starlet hits remarkable scoring milestone this season

Last Sunday, the 14th, a young athlete from Corinthians' youth categories achieved an impressive individual feat. Forward Miguel Moscardo, from Timãozinho Sub-15, played in the team's victory against Ferroviária by 3 x 1 in the Paulista Championship of the category, scoring one of the goals for the black-and-white team. This goal, however, was historic for him, as it was his 40th of the season.

The performance is excellent, considering that the athlete played in 38 games this year, across four different competitions (Paulista Championship, Paulista Cup, Votorantim Cup, and Mina Cup), as well as friendlies. This means an average of 1.08 goals per game, with 27% of the total goals scored by Corinthians (147) concentrated in just one player.

Miguel Moscardo is the brother of Gabriel Moscardo, a midfielder also trained at Terrão, who was sold at the beginning of 2024 to PSG-FRA for 20 million euros (about R$ 107 million at the time). The young player, who currently has a development contract with Corinthians, joined the club in 2023 and was the top scorer of the Paulista Sub-14 Championship last season, with 22 goals.

Timãozinho counts on Moscardo to continue fighting for the state championship title. After finishing the first two phases leading their group, Corinthians is currently in group 29 of the third phase, achieving four victories in the four matches they played. The team needs only a draw against Marília next Saturday, the 20th, to secure not only the qualification but also the leadership of the group.
