Corinthians use Fatal Fans advance to clear FIFA fine and lift one transfer ban | OneFootball

Corinthians settled a FIFA disciplinary fine on Friday morning, removing one of the transfer bans blocking new registrations. The payment was made using an advance from new partner Fatal Fans.

The club paid 225,000 dollars, about R$ 1.1 million at current rates. According to Meu Timao, the sum was brought forward from money due in August so the matter could be resolved quickly.

The Fatal Fans deal has provided crucial short-term cashflow. The first transfer from the partnership landed on six July, two days after the official announcement, at just under R$ four million, roughly 18% of the R$ 22 million guaranteed.

The agreement runs until December 2027, with an option to renew to 2028. Beyond the R$ 22 million fixed fee, triggers tied to an extension could add R$ nine million, taking the total to R$ 31 million.

Fatal Fans appears on the men’s shorts, the front hem of the futsal shirt and the back of the basketball kit. The women’s team will not carry the logo, with the space used for campaigns on sexually transmitted infections and actions against harassment, prejudice and violence against women.

Despite this payment, Corinthians still face three active transfer bans, two from FIFA and one from the CBF. Clearing them would require about R$ 21.9 million for the club to freely register new signings.
