Corinthians host Flamengo in the Brasileirão on Sunday, 22 March 2026 in São Paulo, with the visitors chasing a Libertadores berth and the hosts looking to consolidate their Sudamericana position.
These two have traded big results lately: Corinthians won February's Supercopa do Brasil final 2-0, while Flamengo took the last league meeting in September 2025 with a 2-1 away win.
Timão are winless in four league matches, drawing at Santos and Chapecoense after a home defeat by Coritiba. Fla come in hot with four straight league victories, including 3-0 wins at Botafogo and against Remo.
Mengão are without Saúl Níguez (injured) plus suspended pair Erick Pulgar and Léo Pereira, while Bruno Henrique is also sidelined. Timão list defender Hugo and goalkeeper Felipe Longo as injured.
With 12 scored and just four conceded this season, Fla's balance suggests control. They could look to Pedro up front and Giorgian de Arrascaeta to supply. Timão have six goals in seven league games and may lean on Memphis and Yuri Alberto to spark a misfiring attack.
A victory would lift Coringão to 12 points and could nudge them up the table while keeping them on course for the Sudamericana slots. A win for Mengão would take them to 16 points and could strengthen their grip on the Libertadores places.
