Corinthians valued up to R$ 2 billion as Yuri Alberto praised and vice-president faces suspension call

Corinthians featured in a trio of headlines on Friday, spanning club valuation, praise for Yuri Alberto and a request to sideline vice-president Armando Mendonça. According to Meu Timao, the club were ranked third in Brazil by market value.
The club were valued between R$ 1.5 and R$ 2 billion, sitting behind only Flamengo and Palmeiras.
Zenit assistant coach William de Oliveira praised forward Yuri Alberto, his former player, and said the Russian club would be open to a possible return.
Separately, a group of club councillors called for the precautionary removal of vice-president Armando Mendonça.
They cited multiple complaints alleging the misappropriation of Nike sports equipment from within the club.
