Corinthians face dwindling transfer options after at least 10 major windows shut, while the club aim to raise R$ 150 million from player sales in 2026.
"If we want results, we cannot sell. We will sell when we say, 'now we want to sell'. We must work to reach that moment, not put any player on the market with every offer," said head coach Dorival Júnior. He told Meu Timao in an exclusive interview.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar shut on 31 January. France, Germany, England, Italy, Spain and Belgium followed on two February, with the Netherlands and Portugal on three February.
Brazil remains open until three March. Greece and Türkiye close on six February, the United Arab Emirates on nine February, Mexico and Australia on 10 February, Switzerland on 16 February, Russia on 19 February, Uruguay on 23 February, Argentina on 10 March, Ukraine on 11 March, the United States and South Korea on 26 March, and Japan on eight April.
The club plan to finish 2026 with a R$ 12 million surplus, which relies on R$ 151 million from transfers and Fifa solidarity. So far there have been no sales, only contract terminations and loans.
Dorival has warned against losing key players this season, and the club have turned down approaches for Yuri Alberto, Breno Bidon and Hugo Souza. "Corinthians must prepare to sell at the right time, and the right time is when the club decides," he added.
