Corinthians welcome Kaio César and Angileri back for Vitória clash as suspensions bite | OneFootball

Corinthians have named a 24-man squad for the trip to Vitória, with Kaio César and Fabrizio Angileri back after hamstring injuries.

According to Meu Timao, the team landed in Salvador on Friday for the Brasileirão 12th-round fixture at Barradão, which kicks off on Saturday 18 at 20:00.

Fernando Diniz will be without right-back Matheuzinho and midfielder André Luiz, who serve automatic suspensions after being sent off in last Sunday's Dérbi. The STJD also handed goalkeeper Hugo Souza a two-match ban and, although he travelled, he may not play.

The medical list remains lengthy. Memphis has a muscle injury to the front of his right thigh, Gui Negão a grade 2 hamstring strain, Hugo Farias is recovering from arthroscopy on the lateral meniscus of his right knee, João Pedro Tchoca has pain in the pubic area and Charles has a right heel injury.

Diniz is unbeaten after three matches in charge, and Corinthians seek to end an eight-game winless run in the Brasileirão. They sit 16th on 11 points, with Vitória 10th on 14.
