Corinthians had a busy Thursday, with on-pitch success against Capivariano and renewed talks for defender Cacá. According to Meu Timao, the club also agreed a tax settlement with the Union.
At Neo Química Arena, the men’s side beat Capivariano 3-0 in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista. Dieguinho, Gui Negão and Kayke scored.
The settlement will see R$ 679 million of debts paid. It includes a 46.6 percent discount on the R$ 1.2 billion previously owed to the Union.
Athletico-PR have reopened negotiations with Corinthians over centre-back Cacá, 26. The Paraná club made contact in early January, but talks stalled after his display in the 3-0 loss to Red Bull Bragantino in the second round of the Campeonato Paulista and due to an abdominal injury.
Those developments framed a busy day at Parque São Jorge.
