Corinthians women face rare first-leg deficit in Brasileiro final | OneFootball

Corinthians lost 2-1 to São Paulo at Neo Química Arena on Saturday in the first leg of the Brasileiro Feminino final.

According to Meu Timao, this is only the sixth time since the 2016 reactivation that they have lost a first leg. The previous five brought two titles and three runners-up finishes.

Since 2016 they have reached 30 finals and won 22, including seven Brasileiros, six Libertadores, four Paulistas, three Supercopas, plus the Copa Paulista and Copa do Brasil.

The return is at Morumbis on Saturday, 3 October, at 16:30. Corinthians need a two-goal win in normal time, a one-goal margin would force penalties.
