Corinthians Women level record with São Paulo in 2025 season clashes

Corinthians hosted São Paulo on the morning of this Sunday, November 1st, at Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha, in a match valid for the 11th round of the first phase of the Women's Paulista Championship and ended up winning with a score of 3 x 1. Jhonson (forward), Tamires (left-back), and Thaís Regina (defender) scored the goals for the Brabas.

The result further isolated Alvinegro at the top of the state championship with 30 points out of 33 possible – 10 wins and one loss – 29 goals scored and six conceded. Moreover, with the victory, Corinthians equaled the record with São Paulo in matches this 2025 season. Now, in six games (Supercup, Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, and Paulistão), there are two wins for each side and two draws – 10 goals for Corinthians and nine for the rival.

Regarding the historical record, the club from Parque São Jorge increased the gap against São Paulo. Now, there are 26 games, with 15 victories for Corinthians, five draws, and six losses – 44 goals scored and 28 conceded. In the 2025 season, the first match between the teams took place on March 15th, for the Supercup final, and ended in a goalless draw. However, in the penalties, the rival took the title.

On April 26th, both teams faced each other again in the qualifying phase of the Women's Brasileirão, in Cotia, and it ended in a 1 x 1 draw. On June 22nd, in Majestoso for the first round of the state championship's qualifying phase, in Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo triumphed with a score of 2 x 1.

Almost two months later, on August 24th, Corinthians defeated São Paulo 2 x 0 at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, in the first leg of the Women's Brasileirão semifinals. A week later, in the return leg of the national tournament semifinals, a 2 x 2 draw secured the Brabas' spot in the final.

A month later, on September 26th, before heading to the Women's Libertadores in Argentina, the Brabas faced São Paulo again in the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil and were defeated 3 x 1 in Santana de Parnaíba. Finally, on the morning of this Saturday, Corinthians won by the same score in the Paulistão of the category.

Corinthians Feminino also extended their good record in classics after Libertadores titles (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025) – four wins and one loss – six goals scored and two conceded. In 2017, the Brabas won the international title for the first time, but on that occasion, the competition marked the end of the season.

In November 2019, Corinthians defeated São Paulo 1 x 0 away from home in the first leg of the Paulistão final that year. Two years later, in December 2021, they lost to the same opponent 1 x 0 at Morumbi in the first game of the state final.

In 2023, right after the Libertadores title, Corinthians faced Palmeiras away from home in the first leg of the Paulistão semifinal and won by the minimum score. Last season, the Brabas defeated São Paulo at Canindé by a score of 1 x 0 in the first leg of the state semifinal.
