Corinthians’ women intensified preparations on Tuesday morning. Head coach Emily Lima led a session geared towards the second half of the season, sharpening attacking organisation and set pieces.

According to Meu Timao, the morning began in the gym with strength work. Out on the grass, players warmed up then worked on ball circulation, line-breaking passes, crosses, finishing and set-piece situations.

Lima remains without two players. Goalkeeper Lelê has tendinopathy in the posterior area of her right thigh. She has started rehabilitation with the medical staff but has no return date.

Centre-back Agustina Barroso also stays out. Diagnosed early in the season with a recurrent contracture linked to a scar in the soleus of her left calf, she is still away from group training.

There has been a permanent departure too. Attacking midfielder Manu Olivan terminated her contract and was announced on Saturday as a new addition to Miami Dade College in the United States.

Off the pitch, the club has regularised the players’ image-rights payments, which had been 22 days overdue.

Attention now turns to the restart of official competitions. Corinthians host Ferroviária at Parque São Jorge on 17 July at 19:00 in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
