Corinthians’ women are set to stage home matches at Neo Química Arena while Fazendinha undergoes renovation, club president Osmar Stabile said. The switch follows new weekday slots on Thursdays and Fridays.
“Matches will be played on Fridays, which we receive with some sadness because we will no longer play at weekends. Playing midweek was important, but now we will have games on Thursdays and Fridays. On those days Neo Química Arena is available. So, initially, the teams will host their games at the Arena until we can resolve the Fazendinha situation.” He was speaking to SporTV.
“Fazendinha already has a defined project and we also have a partner to carry out the work. At the moment, financial difficulty has prevented this investment, which is around R$ 10 million. However, we already have this partner confirmed, who will help us, and I believe that soon we will have Fazendinha available again.”
Corinthians were barred from staging night matches at Fazendinha in May 2025 after lighting problems.
Since then the Brabas have moved home dates to other venues, including Canindé, Pacaembu and José Liberatti in Osasco. The issue stemmed from faults in the stadium’s lighting system, which the club said were due to progressive wear of the floodlights, and at one point 32 lights were out.
