Corinthians wrap up preparations for Palmeiras derby, likely line-up

Corinthians trained on Saturday afternoon and completed preparations for the derby against Palmeiras, valid for the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship. The Derby is scheduled for this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. (Brasília time) at Neo Química Arena.

The players started the day in the briefing room, where coach Fernando Diniz presented videos about the win over Platense last Thursday and about Palmeiras. Afterwards, the squad went out onto the field and carried out a tactical activity, in addition to practicing set plays.

Absences and returns

For the derby, Fernando Diniz is expected to remain without Memphis Depay (strain in the front muscle of the right thigh), Gui Negão (strain in the back muscle of the right thigh), Kaio César (injury to the back muscle of the right thigh), and Hugo (right knee surgery).

Charles (right ankle injury) is also expected to miss out, while Pedro Milans (left ankle sprain) and João Pedro Tchoca (pain in the pubic region) are doubts. Lastly, André Ramalho is suspended and completes the list of absences.

On the other hand, Corinthians will have full-back Matheus Bidu and defensive midfielder Allan available again, after both served suspensions in the previous Brasileirão round.
