Corinthians wrap up preparations to face Athletico in the Brasileirão

Corinthians held their final training session to face Athletico, in a match valid for the second round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship, on the morning of this Wednesday (18th) at CT Doutor Joaquim Grava.

The activities began with the players watching tactical instruction videos in the briefing room. Next, the athletes went to the gym and, afterwards, on the pitch, a ten-against-ten tactical match was held along with game situations and set pieces, as is traditionally done.

For the match, Dorival Jr will certainly be without forward Yuri Alberto, but will have the return of midfielder Matheus Pereira. There are still no details on whether left-back Fabrizio Angileri will be available for the first time since his announcement, as well as winger Kaio César.

With that, a probable Corinthians lineup should be composed of: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique and Matheus Bidu (Angileri); Raniele (Allan), Matheus Pereira and Carrillo (Rodrigo Garro); Kayke, Memphis Depay and Pedro Raul (Gui Negão).
