Coritiba turn it around after the break to climb to sixth | OneFootball

Coritiba beat Bahia 3-2 at the Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira to rise from eighth to sixth in the Brasileirão.

In the 26th minute, Tiago Cóser put through his own net to hand the visitors the lead.

Bahia then lost goalkeeper Léo Vieira to injury in the sixth minute of first half stoppage time, with Joao Paulo coming on.

Bruno Melo levelled with a towering header from a Josue set-piece (56.). Joaquín Lavega put Coxa ahead with a low finish (65.), then slipped in Breno Lopes to rifle the third on the break (68.) before the Uruguayan went off injured.

Joao Paulo produced sharp stops from Pedro Rocha in the closing stages as Coxa pushed for more.

Everaldo glanced in from Éverton Ribeiro's cross in the first minute of second half stoppage time to set up a nervy finish.

Coxa registered seven shots on target from 13 attempts. Tricolor Baiano managed one on target from 14 efforts.

The result lifts Coxa into sixth. Tricolor Baiano drop to eighth. Next, Coxa visit Flamengo. Tricolor Baiano host Botafogo.
