The coronavirus pandemic continues to inflict chaos upon the sporting schedule.

Top-flight football in Russia, one of the main leagues still playing in Europe, was suspended on Tuesday, while Euro 2020 was officially delayed by one year.

There are still some competitions across the globe going ahead, though - here are five of the best to look forward to on Wednesday.

Lee Man Warriors v Kitchee - Hong Kong Premier League

In one of Wednesday's first games, Lee Man Warriors will play Kitchee in the Hong Kong Premier League.

Kitchee, having won three straight league games, have the chance to move level on points with leaders R&F if they come out on top of an away contest against a Warriors side who sit just three points below them in the table.

Guadalupe v Limon - LIGA FDP

In Costa Rica, Guadalupe will host struggling Limon as they look to move into the play-off positions in Liga FDP.

It was a goalless draw the last times these two teams met in January, so hopefully there will be more excitement this time around.

Plateau United v Kwara United - Nigerian Premier League

While most of the world shuts down, there are still 10 matches taking place in the Nigerian Premier League on Wednesday.

Leaders Plateau United boast a four-point lead over Rivers United at the top of the table heading into their home game with Kwara United, who presently sit in the relegation places.

Plateau are unbeaten since losing to Sunshine Stars on January 15 and will be optimistic of keeping up their momentum here.

Rivers United v Warri Wolves - Nigerian Premier League

Second-placed Rivers, meanwhile, will look to apply some pressure to Plateau with a home contest against mid-table side Warri Wolves.

With Lobi Stars now just two points behind them, Rivers know the onus is on them to bounce back from a surprise defeat to Enugu Rangers last time out.

Tampines Rovers v Lion City Sailors - Singapore Premier League

In one of two games taking place in the Singapore Premier League, leaders Tampines Rovers take on Lion City Sailors.

Tampines have won two of their opening three games, while the Sailors have only played one match so far, a 1-1 draw against Tanjong Pagar on March 6.

The other match will see Balestier Khalsa host Hougang United.
