Antonio Conte has fueled rumours of a departure from Napoli in the summer with his recent words. According to a report, a movce to AC Milan is indeed doable, but the manager’s stance has changed compared to last year.

Already ahead of the current season, before joining Napoli that is, Conte was heavily linked with the Milan job. In the end, the Rossoneri management opted for a different profile in Paulo Fonseca; a decision that has since been on the receiving end of criticism.

Just because Conte is under contract with Napoli, however, rumours of a potential move to Milan haven’t stopped. The manager himself has fueled these with his comments in the last few days, saying that ‘there are some things you cannot do at Napoli’ (via Football Italia) among other things.

According to Corriere della Sera’s Milan correspondent, Carlos Passerini (via Il Garante), a move to Milan for Conte is indeed ‘doable’ but first, the intentions of Juventus need to be understood. Should the Bianconeri decide to part ways with Igor Tudor, then Conte would be at the top of their list.

Furthermore, the manager also has Juventus at the top of his list, which is the main difference compared to last summer. Then, he was very keen on joining Milan to prove his value but now he doesn’t feel the same, which obviously won’t help the Rossoneri.

Milan will continue to monitor the situation and then make a decision on their new head coach once a sporting director has been appointed. Tony D’Amico appears to be the favourite for now, even if it’s a difficult operation.
