Santiago Gimenez hopes to return to action this weekend, after recovering from his injured side, but assessments have still not been made by AC Milan.
With some injuries, more precaution is needed than others, for example, with Mike Maignan’s head injury. However, for a painful side, the process should be rather smooth if there are no breaks or fractures.
This, seemingly, is not the case with Gimenez, though, as he still has not been assessed since Friday. The Mexican missed the game against Udinese, with his side still feeling sore, but he hopes to feature this weekend.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the striker will have another day of rest today, before returning to training ahead of the Atalanta game, and it is imagined that he will be checked before the session tomorrow, though there is confidence that he will be able to feature in that game.
The report, as relayed by Milan News, continues, stating that Mike Maignan and Kyle Walker are due to have assessments at Milanello about their own injuries – Maignan’s head injury and Walker’s elbow – so it is imagined that the former Feyenoord man will also be seen to then.
With no goals in two months, he will hope to get back firing on Sunday.
