Noah Okafor has suffered yet another injury setback and it is likely to mean that he does not play again in 2024, a report claims.
Okafor passed a late fitness test to take part in the game against Genoa on Sunday. Although he did not start, the forward came on for the final portion of the game and was unfortunately the subject of a disappointing cameo.
However, he is heading for another spell on the sidelines. Reports emerged last night stating that he left yesterday’s training session early due to feeling some muscle discomfort and a calf problem has been confirmed.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Swiss international will definitely miss the next league match scheduled for Friday evening at the Stadio MarcAntonio Bentegodi against Paolo Zanetti’s Hellas Verona.
Okafor should also miss the match against Roma to close out 2024, in the hope of being available again for the Supercoppa Italiana which is scheduled for early in the new year.
It puts added pressure on the attacking department given that Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are also out at present, while Tammy Abraham came off at half-time with a knock which further news is awaited on.
