Miami, FL (Thursday February 5, 2026) - Concacaf has announced that Costa Rica will host the Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers at the headquarters of the Costa Rican Football Federation in San Rafael, Alajuela. The second and final stage of the Confederation's qualifying competition for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco will take place between March 17 and March 22, 2026.
This second edition of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers, to be played under the current format, includes two rounds: Round One and the Final Round. In Round One, 28 Member Associations (all ranked fifth or below in the Concacaf U-17 Women's Rankings) were split into six groups. After round-robin play between Jan. 24 and Feb. 2, eight teams progressed to the Final Round, joining the Confederation’s four highest-ranked teams.
The Final Round will also be played in a group format (three groups of four teams each). The 12 participating teams are: Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States (pre-seeded); Dominican Republic, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and El Salvador (six Round One group winners); and Bermuda and Nicaragua (as best second-place finishers in Round One).
On Feb. 18, during the competition’s official draw, the participating teams will be split into three groups of four. Fans can follow all the action starting at 11 a.m. ET on Concacaf.com and Confederation’s social media platforms.
The Final Round will kick off on March 17. Once the round concludes, the three group winners and the best second-place finisher (four teams in total) will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The competition's match schedule will be announced after the official draw.
In the previous edition of the Concacaf Women's U-17 Final Round, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States clinched the four Concacaf berths in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2025.
