Coudet’s River resumed training at Ezeiza after a break, with new signing Tobías Ramírez joining and several returns.

According to SuperDepor.com, the centre-back arrives from Argentinos Juniors in a 3.5 million dollar deal for 80 percent of his rights, signing through December 2029.

The Under-20 defender trained for the first time this morning and adds an option at centre-back. Germán Pezzella will join next week, set for final clearance in the coming days after knee ligament damage last year, having worked with the ball for two weeks.

Ian Subiabre returned from the Under-20s, while Colombians Juanfer Quintero and Kevin Castaño flew in from Europe after friendlies against France and Croatia and reported straight to Eduardo Coudet.

Marcos Acuña, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Matías Viña and Kendry Páez play on Tuesday and will link up soon. The Argentines are already in the country, while Páez is away to the Netherlands and may not train until Thursday, the same for Viña who faces Algeria in Italy.

The session focused on ball activation and Coudet will shape the team between Wednesday and Thursday to face Belgrano on Sunday at the Monumental. Gonzalo Montiel, out with a muscle tear, and the suspended Acuña are absent, so Fabricio Bustos and Viña or Paulo Díaz could start.

Whether Joaquín Freitas keeps his place after starting against Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, or Facundo Colidio gets a chance, will be settled on Thursday afternoon when the full squad is in and the squad for Sunday’s 18:00 kick-off is named.
