The FFF’s 2026-2030 Coupe de France TV rights tender failed to meet its reserve price, and private talks will now follow.
According to L'Équipe, the confidential threshold, set by FFF president Philippe Diallo, was not reached, though bids arrived for every lot on offer. France Télévisions and beIN Sports currently pay eight and four million euros per season, and the value of the next deal remains unclear.
Lot A covered 10 matches, mirroring France Télévisions’ present package, with five ties in the round of 64 then the first-choice pick through to the final.
Lot B comprised 53 matches and included co-broadcast of Lot A, effectively matching beIN’s current rights. An additional AB' option offered exclusivity from the round of 64, a total of 63 matches.
The federation will negotiate directly with interested broadcasters to secure the best structure and a minimum level of income. It is due to present an eight million euros deficit for its 2024-2025 accounts at Saturday’s federal assembly.
