The Moroccan joined Lens from Burnley last summer for €5m, but did not fully live up to expectations during his first season with the French club. With Will Still leaving the club, it now is not certain that the forward has a place in the system of new manager Pierre Sage.
Zaroury has also struggled during Lens’ pre-season preparations and there is no guarantee that he remains at the Stade Bollaert this season, according to a report from L’Équipe. However, he is not short of interest.
Championship sides Coventry City and Norwich City are in the race, as are Panathinaïkos and Espanyol. All are attentive to Zaroury’s situation and could make a move. The forward still retains good value on the market and with a contract running until the summer of 2028, is valued at €8m by his club.
