Coventry City in advanced talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender

A move to England could be on the cards for Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back Aurèle Amenda.

According to Sky Germany, newly-promoted Premier League side Coventry City are in advanced talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over a move for the 22-year-old defender.

Negotiations between Coventry, who are coached by England legend Frank Lampard, and the player are also said to be at an advanced stage.

The young centre-back is part of Switzerland’s squad for the World Cup, but didn't feature in any of their first three games.

Amenda joined Eintracht Frankfurt for €9.5 million in 2024 and has since made 42 appearances for the German club. He featured 29 times during the 2025/26 season.
