Coventry City sign Sidiki Chérif from Fenerbahçe for €25m | OneFootball

Newly promoted Coventry City have completed the €25 million signing of Sidiki Chérif from Fenerbahçe. The club said in a statement that the 19-year-old Guinean forward has agreed a five-year deal to 2031 with Frank Lampard’s side.

The announcement came on Wednesday afternoon, confirming Chérif’s departure from the Istanbul club after only six months.

Chérif first made his name with Angers in Ligue 1, scoring four goals in 36 top-flight appearances.

He joined Fenerbahçe from Angers for €18 million and went on to play 17 matches, scoring three times.

His opportunities were squeezed by more experienced arrivals this summer, with Vedat Muriqi and Romelu Lukaku increasing competition for places.
